Punishing Me Shaft on Tour Book 6 edition by Cat Mason Contemporary Romance eBooks

Sold out stadiums and screaming fans are just some of the perks of being the new bassist for Shaft. The only downside of Ireland Tyler landing her dream job is it brings her face to face with a blast from her past, and her only regret Dominick Bradford. The second in command for the band’s security team may go by Mack now, but all Ireland sees is the boy who used her and left her broken hearted when they were just seventeen years old.
Dominick “Mack” Bradford prefers to shrug off anything serious in life with a joke and quickly put it behind him. But, keeping your past from haunting you isn’t easy when you find it standing right in front of you.
The wild and crazy bassist is far from the sweet and naïve girl he met all those years ago. Her hurt has turned to hatred, and now that he is in charge of protecting her, it’s aimed at him full force. She challenges him, refusing to back down, no matter what he says. For Mack, it’s like gasoline on a fire of need that has been building for far too long.
Will Mack be able to resist her and do his job, or will he be consumed by the flames and be the one left wanting more this time?

OMG. I LOVED this book. Okay, I've enjoyed each book in the Shaft On Tour series. They have it all, hot and sexy scenes, great characters, brilliant dialogue between everyone and plenty of laugh out loud moments. Cat Mason sure can write some hilarious dialogue and just down right funny stuff into her books. I laughed until I cried at times reading this book.Ireland is the newest member to Shaft and at first she's a wild one. It turns out, she has a past with another one of Shaft's security team, Mack as everyone calls him but Dominick as Ireland knows him. They have a past, she loved him, he broke her heart, although to be fair, they were kids and I tended to root for him in that case. He did what was the right thing to do really at 17, he walked away because he knew he couldn't offer her anything at that age. Ireland just wanted to be loved. Her parents had no time for her and her situation is quite sad. With Mack and her reunited, it's a volatile situation. It's also dangerous for him too since she's quick to use her knees and feet on him. All the usual characters were there and the dialogue and interaction between everyone was as entertaining as always.
I loved this book too and read it in just one day. I'm kind of sad that this was the final book in the series, but I guess all good things must come to an end....

Punishing Me Shaft on Tour Book 6 edition by Cat Mason Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
Oh yeah another great book from author Cat Mason .Every time I read one of the shaft on tour book I can never put it down till I have read it all and then I am sad when the book ends. she really has a way of connecting you to the characters.
I'm wishing this series leaped to jazzies twenties & she carried on the tradition, along with the rest of the Shaft Spawns lol!! Cat gave Jasmine such a hysterically, Adorable, Snarky personality that I just couldn't get enough of! I crave finding out if she is a female version of Hunter or makes him look tame lol.
I Loved!!!!! This series have read it more than twice now ;-)
This is one of my favorite Rock Stars series. I love the quirky, most of the time over the top characters.
This is Mack and Ireland's second chance at romance story.
Having a very brief fling when they were seventeen, they suddenly find themselves thrown back together when Ireland is hired as the bands new bass player. Causing more problems and publicity nightmares than Hunter ever could dream of. She's a handful. And she can hold a mean grudge. A grudge that is focused solely on Mack. But fueled by other issues that seem to hit a bit closer to home.
They have a lot of hurtful history to work through if they both hope to keep their jobs and not kill each other.
This book seems to wrap up the story of the band. Although the author does say at the end that "This is NOT goodbye" More of a "see you later". It sounds like we may, at some point, see more of our boys and their extended ever growing family.
I was so excited to read the last book, or possibly the last book, in Cat Mason's Shaft on Tour series & I certainly wasn't disappointed. OMG she had me cracking up to the point that I was getting crazy looks. Punishing Me is a story mostly based on Mack, security for Shaft, and Ireland, the bass player for the band. Mack & Ireland had a past. One that was really good until Mack became a jerk (that's putting it mildly for review purposes. Lol). When they found themselves with the same band, the atmosphere heated up & not always in a good way. There was lots of tension, hate & sadness from how things were left the last time they saw each other. Ireland is hurt & she wants to make sure Mack knows it, but she's also stubborn. He wants her back....bad. I enjoyed the banter between the two. Whether it was to make people laugh or make them melt. It had me smiling. Not to mention Hunter had a good part in this book too & we all know the sarcasm that can come out of that man's mouth. It was freaking awesome! And the sex...O. M. G was it H.O.T! If by chance this is the last book in the series, then Cat Mason delivered big time & made it a perfect ending to a wonderful rocker series.
By the standards of many, Dominick “Mack” Bradford is doing pretty well for himself. Working on the security team for popular rock band Shaft, and not just crowd control, nope, he's on their personal security detail. Practically living at the band's private compound and overseeing the security of the band's wives and family members while the rest of the band is on tour, but even still he doesn't feel like he's really earned their trust and respect.
If it weren't bad enough being the butt of many of their practical jokes and shenanigans, recently the band has added a new member to their lineup. The only female member of the band, new bass player Ireland Tyler just happens to be a girl from Mack's past ... one whose heart he kind of managed to absolutely shatter way back when, turning the sweet innocent girl he once knew into the wild thrill seeking, out of control rocker she is today.
Naturally, they get forced together, working in close proximity, tempers flare, tensions ignite, ancient history gets dredged up and, being a Shaft on Tour novel, all of this happens amidst hilarity and hi-jinks as the rest of the band and their growing families all try to have a good time.
Told from alternate POVs Mack's and Ireland's story is, in many ways almost a coming of age story for each of the main characters. Both have issues from their pasts (beyond their personal history with each other) that they've never really dealt with, that played into why their former relationship failed, but still prevents either from living genuinely fulfilled lives. Both of them need to grow up a little and try doing some adulting.
Building upon, without being dependent on the other books in the series, this interrelated standalone tells a singular love story, set against the backdrop of a cast of characters that have been steadily built up over the preceding five books, and serves not just as that singular story, but as a culmination of the series, bringing everything together to a magical conclusion.
I've said before that the Shaft on Tour series is my favorite rocker series I've read (and I've read quite a few) and with this book rounding out the set, I'm certainly not about to change that opinion now.
